The team from IDEAINOX has recently installed a set of stainless steel railings that uses LIGHTZEROTM at the Bar Malo Youth Center. The images, which are based on the 60's theme, had been converted into perforated pattern design by using Image2Punch. The overall looks are so stunning. This is especially true when the perforated panels are backlit with white or multicolour LEDs (More picture can be found on their website at http://www.ideainox.it/component/content/article/2-prodotti-homepage/5-bar-centro-giovanile-di-malo.html).
As one of the pioneers in image-based perforated sheet metal, they are currently conducting some more researches as to how the lighting arrangement can be enhanced in the application of image-based perforated sheet metal. Here is an updated documentation from Lunberg Design for their SFMTA Cable Car Kiosk that is being fabricated at Zahner Metals, in Kansas City, MO. Zahner Metals is one of the premier (if not the best!) sheet metal fabricators in the world and Lunberg Design is very happy working with them. The project is moving forward, currently in fabrication, and is expected to be completed and on the streets of SF by early September. The panels look incredible—over 100,000 holes per kiosk! Zahner used the dxf cad files made in I2P (designed by Lunberg Design) to drive their CNC punch to make these panels, and it worked perfectly.

The team from PT JOF Metal, as one of the pioneers in image-based perforated sheetmetal project, are proud to share their pictorial documentation for some projects that has been done in Jakarta - Indonesia. The image-based perforated metal was fit nicely for church decorating by generating perforated pattern based on Catholic saints' picture. By using Image2Punch, batik pattern can also be converted into perforated pattern for their wall decoration project. The team from Lunberg Design has been working on the new Ticket Kiosks for the Cable Cars in San Francisco and using image-based perforated sheet metal deisgn to enhance the aesthetic factors in their design using Image2Punch. the cable cars in San Francisco are known throughout the world, and each of these ticket booths gets over 1 million visitors per year.

The team from Graepel Perforators and Weavers Ltd. has conducted several tests to create a nice looking perforated metal pattern on a wide range of perforated sheet size ( as small as A4 size). They said that the software worked really well with the Andy Warhol pop-art of Marilyn Monroe and satisfy with the result. They have a wide range of punching tools to give a better result of the perforated pattern "flow" and trying to create more attactive pattern based on their image documents.

The team from Advance Metal Product (Australia) has conducted a perforated metal product test for their Boscotec logo generated by Image2Punch Software. The material is 1.5mm zinc seal and the sheet is approximately 1200mm x 350mm. They utilized their turret punch machine and were happy with the outcome and are trying to create more complex design.

Another contribution comes from 4M Group which has used image2punch to create an innovative perforated metal pattern installed for their office in London. The image is of a forest. 4M is a multidisciplinary group which delivers quality through design, architecture and generative solutions.
