Licence Key Activation Guide

Image2Punch Pro 2.1(and the next version) comes as “Dual Licencing Mode”. It means that every licence purchased you may run Image2Punch in both Standalone mode and Client/Server mode. This licencing strategy is merely to give our customer the flexibility to optimize the use of Image2Punch Pro for their perforated metal project.

The philosophy behind Client/server mode is that Image2Punch Pro can be installed on several personal computers (PCs) as many as our customer wants but can only run the software one at a time. In order to run the Client/Server mode properly, all the PCs has to be connected to a computer network where the Image2punch Pro 2.1 licence key is activated on one of the PC in that network environmental.

The procedure to activate the licence key for both temporary and permanent are described below:

1. Install Image2Punch Pro on the Personal Computer (PC) where you would like an authorization licence key issued for

This is important as the key will be unique to that PC. In other words, the Machine Code will be unique from one PC to another and the authorization licence key depends on the Machine Code you will supply to us. To obtain the Machine Code, run Image2Punch and then click “Licencing” menu item on “Help” menu (see the illustration below). A licencing dialog box will be opened and you can find the machine code in the format of XXXX-XXXX. Then you can email to order@image2punch.com

2. We send the licence keys to you by email

The temporary licences keys for both Standalone mode and Client/Server mode will be sent to you by email within 1-2 business days after the payment is verified and cleared, and after receiving the Machine Code from your PC where the software is installed. The permanent key will be supplied on the 31st day after the payment is received.

The licence keys will be supplied in the following format sample;

When you have the temporary/ Permanent licence keys, you need to type ( or click-and-paste ) it into the appropriate licencing dialog box together with your name and the company name/ your location by clicking the Licencing menu item on the Help menu.

3. Activation for Standalone Mode

To activate the standalone mode, run Image2Punch and then click “Licencing” menu item on “Help” menu. A licencing dialog box will be opened and you can type all the information that has been given to you. Once the Name, Company / Location and the licence key are typed, you need to click the Activate button to activate the key so you can fully use the software.

4. Activation for Client/Server Mode

To activate the Client/Server mode, run Image2Punch and then click “Licencing Client/Server” menu item on “Help” menu. A Client/Server licencing dialog box will be opened and you need to click Enter Licencing Code button. After that, an activation licencing dialog box will be opened and you can enter the client/server licence key into designated box.
