The first sub group of menu items is:

  • New: This creates a new digital image. A New File dialog box opens to define the digital image size.
  • Open: This opens an existing digital image file. The Open File dialog box opens to let you browse the file from a particular directory and folder.
  • Close: This closes the current document. It is disabled when there is no document.

The second sub group consists of Revert Image menu item. This is disabled when no changes or modifications have been applied to the original image document or to the saved image document. Clicking on this menu item, after altering or modifying the image, causes it to revert to the original image document.

The third sub group relates to how the document is saved. The menu items in this group are:

  • Save Image: This saves an image according to its original format. For example, if an existing image document is in Bitmap format (BMP), it is saved in Bitmap format. Save Image is disabled in The Tooling Generation Environment.
  • Save As Image: Unlike Save Image, this menu item gives you the chance to save the image document either in BMP file format or in JPG file format. Save As Image is enabled in both the Image Design and the Tooling Generation environments in order to save what is in the Document Design Screen. Clicking Save As Image in the Image Design Environment saves the image document. On the other hand, clicking it in the Tooling Generation Environment saves the perforated pattern design based on the image document in the first phase.
  • Save As DXF Format: This saves the perforated pattern design in DXF file format. This menu item is disabled in the Imaging Design Environment, and available only for Lite and Pro.
  • Save As I2P Format: This saves the perforated pattern design in I2P file format. This menu item is disabled in the Imaging Design Environment, and available only for Genesis.
  • CAD Output File Preference: This determines the format style of the DXF file.

The fourth sub group deals with the printing issues and consists of two menu items.

  • Print. This directs you to the Print Preview dialog in which the content of Document Display Screen is shown either as an image document or a perforated pattern design displaying the paper size you have selected.
  • Print Setup. Here you can select the paper size and printer properties according to the currently installed printing device.

The fifth sub group consists of dynamic menu items which show the most recently opened image documents (6 maximum). Each menu item shows the filename of an image.

The last sub group consists of the one menu item, Exit. Clicking Exit closes Image2Punch application.
