Client Server Mode Guide
The Client-Server Mode will only valid from Image2Punch version 2.1 up to Image2Punch version 4.2b. Since Image2Punch version 5.xx and above, the Dual Licencing Mode ( Client-Server Mode) will not be used/offered anymore.
The reason behind this is simply I want to cut down the operational and service time that can make the development cost stay as is without the need to escalate the licence fee in the near future. If you need a site licence, please contact me for the site licence cost.
In order to run the Client/Server mode properly, all the PCs has to be connected to a computer network where the Image2punch Pro 2.1 licence key is activated on one of the PC in that network environmental.
This option requires a working TCP/IP network to function. Since this protocol is loaded by default in most versions of Windows, and is needed for Internet access, this should cause no problem.
An example of a computer network which is linked one to another and to the server.
To use Client/Server mode, user needs to activate the licence key for this mode (Please visit Licence Key Activation procedure). After that, user can follow all the pictorial steps below to use Image2Punch Pro 2.1 in Client/Server Mode.
Step 1: Run Image2Punch Pro 2.1 on the PC where the licence codes have been activated
Step 2: Open the Client/Server Licencing dialog box by clicking the particular Menu Item on Help Menu
Step 3: Click the Run Server to activate the server for Client/Server Mode of Image2Punch Pro 2.1
Step 4: Run Image2Punch Pro 2.1 (in Client/Server Mode) on any PC in the network
- To run Image2Punch Pro 2.1 in Client/Server Mode, the server has to be started so the communication can be established in the network
- To Shutdown the server, please click the shutdown server on Client/Licencing dialog box
- Client/Server Mode is not available on Trial/Demo version of Image2Punch Pro
