Hole Pattern – Other Than Image2Punch-based Pattern
The latest and the most fascinating application of perforated metal project based on an image, in my opinion, is the interior of the Cathedral of Christ the Light, Oakland, CA. In this project, perforated metal is used as the main background for the church’s altar, and the light that comes from the background gives an appealing reflection of Jesus Christ’s image. Those perforated pattern sheets are made from anodized aluminum sheets with 94,000 perforated holes. The Cathedral of Christ the Light is designed by Craig W. Hartman, FAIA, of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (S.O.M.).

- The technology used in this project (i.e. The Cathedral of Christ the Light) is not from Image2Punch software as they have their own computer-generated technology to generate the perforated pattern based on the Jesus Christ image.
- Aucad Drafting Limited never claims that the perforated pattern design on this church is generated by Image2Punch technology.

As has been mentioned above, Image2punch is not the only technology for converting images into perforated pattern design. Despite this fact, I would like to share some information about other companies that also have the technology to convert images into perforated pattern design (They do not use Image2punch software). This information is solely for the benefit of our customer and those who are doing perforated metal projects, as well as providing some insights. Either they want to use Image2Punch software to independently creating their own perforated metal project or they want to outsource or use another company to create their perforated metal project.
Here is the few of company list and their websites, that has their own technology to convert image into perforated pattern design;
